NXW #6

25th April 2017

On an all new episode of Newplex Wrestling, Alberto Del Rio will address his recent actions. The battle of the factions will continue, as Kofi Kingston will represent the New Day when he goes one-on-one, with Adam Cole. In the main event, Deathstrike will have to pay the piper, as he will face a wrestler of Kurt Angle’s choosing. Buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride, as the superstars of Newplex Wrestling prepare for ‘Revelation of Gold’ in just few weeks.

The introduction of Alberto Del Rio kicks off the show, as Del Rio grabs a microphone and begins to talk.

Del Rio’s arrogant words are abruptly interrupted by a familiar sound, and the appearance of three letters on the titantron…

EC3 delivers a huge statement on his return to Newplex Wrestling, delivering a devastating TK3 maneuver. While only gaining a small percentage of revenge, it’s safe to say the rivalry between Alberto Del Rio and EC3 has only just begun.

The next contest will continue the ongoing battle between the Bullet Club, and the New Day. Tensions within the Bullet Club appear more apparent, as the Bullet Club enter the arena first, noticeably without the company of ‘The Cleaner’ Kenny Omega. The power of positivity fills the Newplex arena, as all the members of The New day accompany Kofi Kingston to the ring, ahead of his battle with Adam Cole.

The bell rings and both men lock up. Cole is no match for the quickness and agility of Kingston, as Kofi delivers fast arm drags to Cole, and rolls him up, but Cole immediately kicks out.

Cole hooks his arms round Kingston, possibly to deliver a German suplex, but Kofi slips out of the maneuver and delivers a springboard crossbody! Kofi covers Cole for the pin, but Cole kicks out again.

Cole rolls out of the ring to grab a break, as keeping up with Kingston is challenging the anaerobic capacity of Cole. Kofi springs off the ropes and dives to the outside, but Cole catches Kofi with a devastating superkick. Cole rolls Kofi back in the ring, and pins Kofi, but Kofi kicks out at 2.

This time, Cole is delivers a German suplex into a cradle pin, but Kofi rolls out and delivers the ‘Trouble in Paradise’ finishing maneuver. Kofi covers the lifeless body of Cole, but the World Champion Cody Rhodes jumps up on the apron to distract the referee. Kofi notices Cody on the apron, and rushes towards him, knocking  him off the apron with a high impact dropkick.

Cole capitalizes on the distraction from Cody, and rolls Kofi up from behind, the referee counts 3, and Cole wins the contest!

Cole celebrates at ringside, while Cody rolls in the ring holding his championship above his head. However, the celebrations of the Bullet Club are interrupted by a very familiar face…

Omega shockingly announces that on the next episode of Newplex Wrestling, he will battle the World Champion, and his fellow Bullet Club member, Cody Rhodes. If Omega is victorious over Cody, he will be granted a World Championship match.

From what has already been an exhilarating night off excitement, the bar is about to be further raised. Deathstrike will go head-to-head with a wrestler of Kurt Angles choosing. Deathstrike enters to a ruckus reaction, unsurprisingly following his cowardly actions over the last couple of weeks. His opponent however, is welcomed with a thunderous ovation…

The arrival of AJ Styles immediately raises the fans to their feet, as fans chant “THIS IS AWESOME” to the debut of the ‘Phenomenal One’.

Deathstrike steps inside the ring, and goes face-to-face with Styles. Deathstrike shows utter disrespect to his opponent, as he slaps Styles around the face with an open hand. AJ immediately responds with rapid strikes, and a roaring lariat that knocks Deathstrike to the outside.

AJ springs off the ropes on the opposite side of the ring, and delivers a soaring Fosbury flop over the ropes, and crashes into Deathstrike. Styles rolls Deathstrike back into the ring, but Deathstrike kicks out at the count of 2. Styles picks Deathstrike up, but Deathstrike smashes Styles in the knee with a back kick, then springs off the ropes and smashes Styles with a clothesline.

Deathstrike attempts to pin Styles, but Styles kicks out at 2. Deathstrike brings the groggy Styles to his feet, then strikes Styles with an aggressive high kick, and a fierce uppercut. Deathstrike throws another fist, but Styles ducks the attempt, and delivers his signature pele kick to the skull of Deathstrike.

Styles capitalizes on the attack, and springs off the middle rope, nailing Deathstrike with a high impact lionsault. Deathstrike still manages to kick out though. The two men grapple to the corner of the ring, both climbing to the top of the turnbuckle while throwing punches at each other. Deathstrike hooks the neck of Styles, and attempts a top rope falcon arrow. However, Styles lands on his feet, and delivers the styles clash to Deathstrike. Styles covers Deathstrike, and wins the match!
