Last week, the first ever Newplex World Champion was crowned. With the help of his Bullet Club teammate Adam Cole, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes captured his first World Championship. On this edition of Newplex Wrestling, will more Bullet Club members make their debut? How will Jads react to being screwed out of his dream? Who will be Alberto Del Rio’s international opponent? And who will be the new General Manager?
The night kicks off with the introduction of the Newplex Wrestling General Manager…
The Newplex audience erupt for the introduction of the new General Manager… Kurt Angle! The former Olympic gold medalist makes his way to the Newplex ring for the first time in his career. Angle announces that in five weeks’ time, Newplex Wrestling will host their first ever PPV event! Angle also announces that Cody Rhodes will defend his Newplex World Championship against Jads, at the PPV! Angle receives a tremendous ovation for the 2 huge announcements.
The historic moment is soon turned sour by the surprise arrival of a masked figure. The masked figure brutally attacks the new General Manager, leaving him in an unstable condition.
Security rush to the ring to stop the attack, as the masked figure escapes through the Newplex crowd. Kurt Angle is helped to his feet by security and escorted to the backstage area. The question is, who is this masked figure? And why did he attack Kurt Angle?
After a roller coaster start to Newplex Wrestling, Alberto Del Rio makes his way to the ring for his match with the debuting, ‘Technical Assassin”, Tryda.
Next up, the ‘Technical Assassin’, Tryda, makes his first entrance in Newplex Wrestling.
The ‘Technical Assassin” makes a beeline towards the Newplex ring. The commentators note that Tryda has spent the last year of his life being trained in the realm of submission wrestling – though, the identity of the expert who trained him is currently unknown.
Tryda immediately and successfully hooks the leg of Alberto Del Rio, applying a deep single leg ‘Boston crab’ submission hold. Del Rio successfully makes it to the ropes to break the hold, but dashes out of the ring to recuperate. Del Rio re-enters the ring, but Tryda immediately locks the arm of Del Rio to apply Del Rio’s own finishing maneuverer, the cross-arm breaker. Del Rio smartly reverses the maneuverer, as after all he is an expert in applying and escaping the cross arm-breaker submission. Del Rio frustratingly escapes the ring again.
For the third time, Tryda attempts to apply a submission maneuverer, but his attempt is met with a thunderous front kick by to the skull. Tryda stumbles to the floor immediately, and looks to be in a bad way. Del Rio capitalises on this, and brutally stomps on Tryda’s head. Tryda is defenceless from Del Rio’s brutal attack. Blood begins to spill from the head of Tryda, as the ‘Technical Assassin’ now looks to be unconscious. Noticing Tryda is unable to defend himself, the referee calls for the bell, and Del Rio is awarded the knockout victory. Del Rio celebrates his victory, and the Newplex fans rightfully boo “Mexico’s greatest export.”
Tryda is escorted out of the ring by medics who aid a deep laceration on his skull.
Following Del Rio’s exit, the Bullet Club’s music hits as the first ever Newplex World Champion, Cody Rhodes, enters the stage for the first time with his newly won World Championship. Cody is also wearing his WCPW Internet Championship, and his GFW Nex*Gen Championship. Cody announces that he is not alone, and outwalks his fellow ‘Bullet Club’ members, Adam Cole, and ‘The Cleaner’ Kenny Omega! The fans erupt for the arrival of Kenny Omega who is clearly a favourite amongst them.
The three members arrogantly march to the ring. While in the ring, Cody grabs a microphone and begins to speak…
The arrogant speech from Kenny Omega is interrupted by the shocking sound of a well-known theme song. Eruption of cheers echo the Newplex arena, for the arrival of…THE NEW DAY! The ‘Bullet Club’ are astounded by the arrival of perhaps the most successful, and cohesive factions in professional wrestling. Xavier Woods with microphone in hand begins to speak…
Following Xavier’s promo, Cody, Kenny, and Cole taunt the New Day members, and challenge them to enter the ring. New Day accept the offer, and bolt down to the ring. Fantasy warfare becomes a reality as a thunderous brawl breaks out between the members of New Day and Bullet Club!
The New Day throw all three members of the Bullet Club out of the ring. Cody, Cole, and Kenny scurry away from ringside and retreat up the ramp. The New Day stand tall in Newplex ring, and celebrate to the sound of Newplex fans chanting: “NEW DAY ROCKS… NEW DAY ROCKS!”
What will happen next time? Are the New Day officially members of the Newplex roster?! How will the ‘Technical Assassin” respond when he gains consciousness?! And who is the masked figure that attacked Kurt Angle?!
