The tournament to crown our first ever Newplex Wrestling champion continues. Jads, JOPO, Cody Rhodes, and Alberto Del Rio all successfully made their way into this, the semi final. Now, which two men will be competing in the grand final for that championship gold? 

The first semi-final match will be a battle of the young lions. Jads goes head-to-head with ‘The Punisher”, JOPO to determine which man will move on to the final of the Newplex World Championship tournament.

Jads enters the arena to a thunderous ovation. He makes his way down to the ring. He displays a determined expression, with the acknowledgment that he could be facing his biggest obstacle so far.

The roar of the crowd slowly transitions to quiet, as the daunting entrance music of ‘The Punisher” begins to play. Smoke fills the entrance way, and JOPO rises up through the cloudy air. He slowly walks to the ring, oozing with confidence.

JOPO dominates the opening moments of the match with brutal kicks and jabs, and Jads looks to be in trouble early. The tide immediately changes though as Jads counters JOPO’s running knee strike with a hugely impactful spear!

After delivering a devastating spear, Jads capitalises on his sudden opportunity and hits his finishing manoeuvre. In a shocking result, Jads pins JOPO.

Jads – who suffered multiple head blows during the match – makes an impressive comeback and will now move on to the final, with the chance of achieving his dream of becoming the Newplex World Champion.

The night rolls on as the crowd chant along: “SI! SI! SI!” for the entrance of ‘The Pride of Mexico’, ALBERTOOOO… DEL… RIOOOOO!!!

Del Rio makes his way to the ring to the sound of Newplex Wrestling fans chanting his catchphrase along with him. Alberto waits in the far corner of the ring for the arrival of ‘The American Nightmare’, Cody… Rhodes!

In the closing stages of the match, Alberto hits a crashing standing side kick to the temple of Cody Rhodes!

Fans are on the edge of their seats as – after delivering a brutal kick – Del Rio covers Cody for the win. At the count of two, Cody grabs the ropes and the match continues.

Del Rio stands in wait for Cody to rise to his feet. At the earliest opportunity, he attempts his cross-arm breaker submission but Cody reverses. Rhodes hits the Beautiful Disaster Kick to the head of Alberto! Cody covers Alberto: “1… 2… 3!”, Cody wins!

So with that, next week Cody will take on Jads in the final! The winner will be crowned the first ever Newplex World Champion!
