Last season on Newplex wrestling, Jads beame the Newplex World Champion when he defeated Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes in the ‘REVELATIONS OF GOLD’ main event. The Newplex fans witnessed mysterious attacks from the masked man known as Deathstrike, who is now the number 1 contender to Jads’ World championship after defeating GM Kurt Angle at ‘REVELATIONS OF GOLD’. Sit back, and watch as the Newplex wrestlers enter the second chapter of their Newplex journey, stronger than before.
The opening contest is an over the top rope battle royal that will crown the first ever, Newplex RISE champion. EC3 enters, followed by JOPO, King Baz, Adam Cole, Y2J, and the young member of the Newplex academy Danny B, who makes his Newplex debut.
All six men battle for a short while, but eliminations begin to rack up fast. EC3 is eliminated by Adam Cole, who moments later is eliminated too by King Baz. King Baz then eliminates JOPO, following JOPO’s attempt to perform a springboard attack. Jericho knocks King Baz to the outside, however King Baz falls through the second rope, therefore is not eliminated.
Jericho, and the Newplex academy member Danny B come face-to-face. Danny B’s facial expressions tell a story, as the realisation kicks in that he is potentially moments away from making history. Jericho, and Danny B begin to trade blows, Danny B getting the better of Jericho for a few minutes as Jericho is unable to defend Danny B’s high-octane offense. However, Danny B’s inexperience gets the better of him, as he attempts a top rope attack, Jericho delivers a springboard dropkick to Danny B which results in an elimination.
King Baz quickly rolls back in the ring, and attempt to eliminate Jericho, however Jericho sidesteps King Baz’s attempted elimination, and eliminates King Baz. ‘Lionheart’ Chris Jericho becomes the first ever RISE champion!
After the crowning of the first ever RISE champion, the camera cuts backstage where Kenny Omega is making his way through the area. Out of nowhere, Omega is jumped by the ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes and Adam Cole. Cody, and Cole manhandle Omega to the floor, and continuously stomp on Omega who is defenceless. Cody, and Cole finally stop the assault, and taunt the unconscious Omega as they walk away.
The camera then cuts back to ringside, as the ‘Technical Assassin’ Tryda looks to end his rivalry with Alberto Del Rio in a street fight.
The street fight immediately gets violent, as both me trade brutal blows to one another with kendo sticks. It is Tryda however who gets the better of Del Rio, disarming him of his kendo stick. Tryda immediately takes advantage of the opening, and proceeds to brutalize Del Rio with his own kendo stick. Tryda’s hunger for revenge takes over, and darker version of the man begin to bleed through as he grabs a steel chair.
Del Rio rises to his feet, but Tryda smashes Del Rio across the skull with the chair, causing Del Rio to bleed from his forehead. Tryda covers the lifeless body of Del Rio, and pins him, finally achieving getting revenge on the man who brutally put him out of action during Season 1.
As Tryda celebrates his victory, the arena lights go out. When the lights go out, the hooded figure who appeared during season 1 arrives on the stage.
Moments later, the man who achieved his destiny at ‘REVELATIONS OF GOLD’, and the newly crowned Newplex world champion Jads makes his way to the ring to a strong reaction from the Newplex fans. Jads thanks the Newplex fans, and their appreciation for his work, and his rise to the top of the Newplex Wrestling mountain.
His celebration is cut short however, as the arena lights darken, and Deathstrike enters through the crowd. Deathstrike enters the ring, staring dead at the world champion. Jads demands Deathstrike take off his mask, and show his identity. Deathstrike responds, telling Jads he is the reason he wears the mask, and that he will dethrone the world champion at the ‘NEW DIVIDE’ PPV.
Jads, and Deathstrike go face-to-face, but Deathstrike cheap shots Jads, and delivers an enziguri to the head of the world champion. Jads immediately falls to the floor, and Deathstrike walks away, with his eyesight firmly locked on the Newplex World Championship.
The first episode of Newplex season 2 ends with the Newplex world champion lying in the ring, and the chaotic Deathstrike standing tall.
