It is the final edition of Newplex Wrestling before the New Divide PPV. This edition of Newplex Wrestling will feature a tag team bout between Bullet Club members Adam Cole and Pete Dunne taking on Dunne’s old rival Tyler Bate, and his long-time friend Trent Seven. It was announced earlier in the evening that if Bullet Club win the match, Tyler Bate would have to defend his WWE UK title against Dunne at New Divide.
Mixed reactions from the crowd echo throughout the arena as the Bullet Club music plays to kick off the edition of Newplex Wrestling.
Cole and Bate kick off the tag team match, as Pete Dunne stands on the apron taunting the UK Champion.
Things turn nasty however, as the medical staff are called to the ring to attend to Tyler Bate who doesn’t stop holding his neck following an apron DDT by Dunne.
Bate is stretchered backstage, as Dunne and Cole celebrate their win via KO, they then continue their assault on Trent Seven.
The KO win signifies that Dunne will receive a UK championship match against Tyler Bate at New Divide.
The Bullet Club leave ringside up the ramp, then Kenny Omega appears on the titantron.
The crowd cheer loudly following Omega’s announcement, and they continue to cheer as EC3’s music starts to play.
Following Jericho’s threat, EC3 leaves the ring and both he and Chris Jericho charge towards one another.
Referees finally restrain both men from fighting, and Scott Hall leads them back towards the locker room after announcing the two men will square off in a RISE championship number 1 contenders match at New Divide.
After all the commotion stops, the ring announcer announces the main event which will be a one-on-one match between the ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes & the ‘Punisher’ JOPO. Cody’s music plays, and the ‘American Nightmare’ enters the stage first.
JOPO pins Cody Rhodes following a spine buster, but Cody is able to kick out at the count of 2.
JOPO signals to the crowd that he is about to deliver his signature jumping knee strike, however something unexpected takes place.
When the lights eventually come back on, JOPO is nowhere to be seen, and it appears that the ‘Punisher’ has been taken by the hooded member of CARNAGE. Cody stands in the ring and looks shocked.
Cody is left standing in the ring confused, until Deathstrike appears on the titantron and begins to speak from an unknown location.
The edition of Newplex Wrestling ends with Deathstrike being revealed as the man behind the CARNAGE faction, and the kidnapping of Jads’s friend JOPO.
