NXW #14

24th April 2018

On this special edition of Newplex Wrestling, multiple championships will be decided on the road towards New Divide. Each ‘League of Champions’ ladder match competitor will defend their respective company’s championships as preparation for the ‘League of Champions’ ladder match that will take place at the New Divide PPV. If any of the champions lose their title, they will no longer be in the match, and will be replaced by the new champion.

This edition of Newplex Wrestling really is a night of champions.

The ring announcer announces the upcoming contest which he states will be contested under ‘Extreme Rules’, and will be for the ECW championship.

The bell rings, and Dean Ambrose runs at the ECW champion to get the match underway.

After smashing Ambrose through the table, Goldberg signals to the crowd that the end is near by doing his signature throat slice taunt.

After delivering his finishing move sequence, Goldberg’s hand is lifted by the referee, as the ring announcer announces Goldberg as still ECW champion. Goldberg makes his way up the ramp as the fans chant “GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG!”

Shortly after, the ring announcer steps in the ring, and announces the following one-on-one match that will be for the Newplex RISE championship. The fans start to cheer as the music of the Newplex academy wrestlers Danny B begins to play.

The referee calls for the bell, and the match begins with both men sizing each other up before any offensive moves occur.

It looks as if King Baz has a counter for every move Danny B throws at him, but Danny B continues to fight on, and give it everything he’s got in the tank.

The fans are on the edge of their seats, as King Baz only just manages to kick out of a stunner that Danny B delivers.

The fans are still in shock, but continue to support Danny B with loud cheers, hoping that he will dethrone the RISE Champion.

After delivering his finishing maneuverer, King Baz pins Danny B in the middle of the ring. The fans begin to boo loudly as the ‘Demi-God’ remains Newplex RISE Champion, and remains undefeated too. As King Baz makes his way up the ramp, he flips off the Newplex fans before entering the backstage area.

Danny B eventually makes his way to the backstage area, receiving applause, and a standing ovation from the crowd as he walks up the ramp.

Moments later, the ring announcer enters the ring, and announces the final championship match of the evening which will be for the World Class Wrestling Championship. The fans erupt to the Newplex Wrestling debut of Cesaro, who will be challenging Dolph Ziggler for the title.

The bell rings, and a competitive amateur wrestling display takes place between the two to start the match.

After delivering a huge uppercut from a gorilla press position, the fans erupt to the possibility of Cesaro defeating Ziggler. However, Ziggler kicks out at 2 of the attempted pin fall. Cesaro argues with the referee as he feels the ref should’ve counted faster. Though, the distraction allows Ziggler to get to his feet.

Ziggler raises his championship above his head, and speaks into the camera. “Neither Goldberg or King Baz is walking out of New Divide as the ‘League of Champions’ ladder match winner. For one reason, they are not in my league.”

Ziggler leaves up the ramp, followed by Cesaro who rightfully receives a standing ovation from the crowd for his performance.

After both men leave the stage, the lights suddenly darken in the Newplex arena, and a hooded figure appears on the ramp.

Fans are left speechless following the announcement from the hooded figure. The lights go out in the arena once again, and when they come back on, neither the hooded figure nor the renamed ‘Dark Assassin’ Tryda are anywhere to be seen.

Following the dark segment, the ring announcer enters the ring for the last time of the evening, and announces the main event, which will be a non-title match between the Newplex World Champion Jads, and Kenny Omega.

Both men receive loud, positive ovations during their entrances, and the difference in popularity between the two reactions is impossible to tell.

The referee calls for the bell, and both men immediately start trading right hand fists, and left hand fists in an attempt to settle their issues with one another.

The match is very equal, as for every moves Jads delivers, Omega retaliates with a devastating move of his own.

The tide turns in the favour of Jads who delivers a spear in the corner, followed by a belly-to-belly overhead suplex, which Omega rolls through and tries to counter into a leg lock.

Jads is victorious over Omega for the second time in his career, following the ‘Starstruck’ finishing move.

Jads celebrates inside the ring, as Omega looks on disappointed from the ramp. However, Deathstrike runs to the ring by entering through the crowd.

Deathstrike stands tall leaving Omega, and the world champion Jads lying in the ring to end the edition of Newplex Wrestling.
